Mastering Modern Worship Drumming

After having interviewed many worship drummers in the last 2 years, and after many conversations with the worship drummer family, we began to notice a common topic emerge. The topic of technology in music, and in our case worship music.

Technology in Worship

In our interviews with drummers like Josh Freddy (Vertical Worship), Brendan Tan (Hillsong Y&F), Garret Goodwin (Carrie Underwood), they touch on the fact that technology in worship will be the "thing" for the next long while. Add to that the dozens and dozens of questions we receive from the worship drummer family. Here are some of them:

Is the SPD-SX good for controlling tracks in Ableton? Also am I able to put my own sounds on it?

Is there a video tutorial available to trigger backing tracks on Ableton via the SPD-SX?

I'd like to know how to do MIDI controlling in a live situation

I have a lot to learn. I don't even know where to start with my questions.

As you can see, there is a lot of excitement around using technology in worship drumming, but unfortunately, there is also a lot to learn and master.

Mastering Modern Worship Drumming was created to help answer your questions and show you the deeper tips and tricks, all in a simple and concise way.

What Will I Learn?
